Is Ifra a Good Standard?

I see often brands are under this assumption that essential oils are going to be safer than synthetic fragrance. Diothel phthalate is demonstrated to be safe as using cosmetics and therefore it can be used without restrictions, including in the central oil case. And so it's super important for companies to do their due diligence by complying with ifers standards. But I find when I talk to smaller, smaller companies, especially, they don't even know what ifra is.
