The Importance of Teachers in Arkansas

I'm convinced of is that our traditional public schools can compete with any charter school. We want to continue to support them and make sure our public school system is strong and competitive. I have set forth a plan that I was encouraged at the legislature embraced, which is to raise teacher pay once again by $4,000. Now Mr. Henderson has another plan that says we're going to pay for teacher pay increases by letting out 20% of our prison population. Here's one thing that I will promise you, the Arkansas voter right now. Do you want somebody that demonstrates compassion and competence? Or do you want someone that will allow this state be endangered? That's what I would do.
