Ravi Agrawal: I'm working on a book tentatively titled the urbanization of cost power, land, labor and environmental politics in Bengaluru. It starts off from the premise that especially among dominant groups this notion that cost somehow is only present in rural areas continues to prevail. We really have to see these material ways and not just sensational atrocities right or electoral politics as being the only spheres through which cost power manifests but through very material spheres of land relations.
