The Priest Has an Androgynous Characteristic
The priest takes on androgynous characteristics. Because he wants also to be able to proclaim the mythos. So for example, if you're going to win a war today, you pump the population with a dramatic picture of the enemy killing your children and throwing bombs at you. That's the pathos. Nobody's going to get started in the morning and go to war because of that. You got to go into the mythical realm to motivate people to do anything. And any priest stands up and declares that we have to win the war - which is an absolute necessity back in antiquity.
