The Challenges of Removing Nuclear Fuel Debris From Daiichi Nuclear Plant
The main challenge is removing the nuclear fuel debris from reactors 1, 2, and 3. This has to be done through remote controlled machines, robots as it's just simply too dangerous for humans to enter these buildings. The decommissioning process is so complicated and difficult that I think we need an entire other episode of Deep Dive to talk about it.
