The Distinction Between Big Data and Knowledge
The current state of the art is that whatever's in the training data is all that the system is able to learn. You can't ask chat GPT like, hey, what do you think my next thought is? We've been talking about something for an hour. It'll be like, I don't do that. What you want is something that says, well, I'm curious about you. This leads to things like curiosity and creativity. That distinction is that the system must be able to have a perspective.
