The Tension Between Copyright Holders and AI
The law is actually pretty clear in the United States that I can make a copy of your work internally in my computer system. The one that we're sort of seeing lawsuits filed on right now has to do with whether it's permissible to train your AI using somebody else's copyrighted work. Every once in a while AI does generate something that looks really similar to one of the inputs and there probably going to be some litigation around that.
