What's the Threat of Web Three?

I think it all ties back to who is doing the funding, who gets to steer the innovation. There's been all these memes and stories made about like, you know, Silicon Valley VCs back yet another whatever bubble tea delivery startup. And that in turn has ripple effects on the types of companies that get backed and that get to exist. I think one of the most exciting elements of web three is that anyone can participate in this investment process. They get to vote with their feet and with their dollars.
