"I'm an engineer. I've been an engineer for my entire career working on embedded software mostly for about 40 years," he said. "For the bulk of my career, I lived under this illusion that everything that I created as part of my engineering activities was my own product." He says we're much less in control than we realize and unless we accept that, we'll continue to have difficulty managing technology.
