When crime is an option, egalitarianism is sort of correct. In the short term, you can increase your ability to find a mate and persist into the future. But in the long run, that completely destroys complexity or economies of scale. We're reaching a point at which we need to start divorcing our biologically involved instincts from what we consider to be optimal outcomes.
