The Tree's Rings

The study of a tree's rings is called dendrology, and it's taken very seriously within forestry sciences as a metric by which we acquire data. The historical origins that appear to us in the experience of looking at a redwoods rings actually tell us facts about that particular redwoods history. And so there's this sense in which trees from my perspective transcend time. They are time capsules they are the Earth's original historians aside from rocks and geology. So I'm an empiricist I love science. There are other views but we won't get into those right now.
