TypeScript: A Major Version Bump?

I understand the hesitancy to kind of add more tactical wizardry that you would never really know if you're like coming over from JavaScript. Is there a reason something like this couldn't be done in like a major version change? Like, okay, we're finally ripping the band it off. TypeScript doesn't do major versions. It does not do send for it basically just goes minor version to minor version forever. That's why it went from 4.9 to 5.0, basically. So it doesn't ever do majors and it couldn't do major. They've managed to just keep it doing minors for the past 10 years. Just basically continuing adding features.
