The Jains have something called Sallekhana where the body is not capable of any more spiritual practice at all. They stop eating food and let the body waste away for the last few days as long as it will survive and go. For them, from perspective, an enlightened person, the body is nothing, as nothing. But we cannot get rid of it because it will just lead to more bad karma and a worse starting up point in the next life.
In this series of talks, Swami Sarvapriyananda unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of the Bhagavad Gita (The Song of God).
