Vachas Patem was married to an unknown woman for decades. He heard a philosophical debate about Advaita Vedanta and decided to set it right. After the marriage, he started writing this commentary on Shankara Charya's commentary on the Brahma Sutras. But then Vachas Prativ took his wife back - she had not even told him her name. Now we are still taking the name of Mahamati as long as civilization persists.
Adhyasa Bhashya is Adi Shankara’s introduction to the Brahma Sutras. Swami Sarvapriyananda gives a brief overview of this commentary, over three sessions.
