Building a Resilient Lifestyle

Catherine: My wife has an outstanding student loan of X. We're looking to build a more resilient living situation compared to the condo we currently reside in. Is it worth just clearing the debt now or should we sit on the cash and or invest in our new resilient lifestyle? Thanks for the insight. I would clear the debt. I would get outstanding student debt out of my life. What would you do, Carolyn? In most cases, I think reducing debt is a good idea. Any thoughts, Carolyn?
