The Importance of Definitive Articles

definite articles go do our present in different places and even, you know, the English definite article. It's moved metaphorically so that it can refer to things, not just an immediate view, but like things that somebody who's talking with you should know about. So, again, my standard rule that grammar is born hungry can apply even to very old bits of grammar. They'll just keep taking as long as they can. And I've read somewhere how in English and in a few other Northern European languages over the last hundred years, the article continues to spread out and take over more functions.
