You can even just send a GraphQL request via fetch. And that works as well, so it's not like you have to use a special fancy library. But most of the time you'll see a library like Apollo to connect to GraphQL. That being said, normally you've fetched on your front end, your REST API with something like fetch or Ajax and whatever new hot library there is these days.
