The Importance of Community in a Flat Place
I wanted people to see the things that I create and feel the same way I felt when I first saw Genomo Nae. Here was a black woman who looked like me, who was like dancing around in a suit talking about being an alien in a robot. So up until that point, I just was alone. Luckily for me, there was the internet, so I started a blog and I found other people. The internet is a godsend because I was able to find community through it.
