The Passivity of Socrates in the Platonic Dialogues
I think Phaedrus is a little more active than other interlocutors in the Platonic dialogues. But for the most part, he's passive to the point where when I was doing my summary, I don't pause to talk about what Phaedrus said. Everything is in the voice of Socrates. That might as well be. And you can criticize dialectic as involving a certain amount of passivity on the recipient.
