Socrates was aware of that he knew leadership ability in the sense of being able to persuade and motivate other people is dangerous if we don't also have wisdom and virtue. What separates a good leader from a bad leader isn't necessarily their ability to mobilize other people but their ability to know what it is that we should be doing like and that's where wisdom comes. I think it all comes all roads lead to wisdom you know I think you're spot on in that regard yeah. Yeah it's so fascinating just to touch on what you said initially about wisdom not necessarily being a word that is used as much as it should be.
In this episode, I chat with J.W. Bertolotti host of the In Search of Wisdom podcast, and founder of the Perennial Leader Project. Josh was one of the speakers at our Stoicon-x Military event a few years ago. We’re both very active on Substack now, Josh at Perennial Meditations so I thought it would be a great opportunity to reconnect and chat about philosophy as a guide to life.
