i didn't understand intellectually before that arguments can be 70% wrong in 30% right, or vice versa. But i will say that the work of this broadcast helped me build that idea into a practice. I often bring on people who i think are directionally wrong in their arguments. And it's really been striking to notice how different it is to read something i disagree with when i'm trying to find value in it. Nothing is gained by being credulous or turning your mental faculties off. There is a difference between an argument that you're trying to win, even just in your own head, and an argument thatyou're trying to learn from.
