After Heshoggi was murdered all Saudi exiles and there is a growing community in London and in Washington everywhere, we became very very troubled by how far the regime could go to eliminate critical voices. I cannot live abroad in fear because of my writing or what my writing would cause me. Once you make that decision, then you dismiss this moment of fear. And I do believe that I'm only writing words and obviously words are not appreciated in dictatorships. So I will continue my academic career, my writing, and I deliberately take the side of the people who are in Saudi prisons"
