Origin's Commentaries on the Bible

An earlier Christian called origin had a wonderful knowledge of Greek philosophy including of Aristotle. He drew attention to a passage which even now not many scholars have paid much attention to in a work of Aristotle on generation and corruption. As well as knowing Aristotle he also wrote commentaries on the Bible that were similar to those later written by Proclus, Ammonius and others. This is one possible source from which the idea of how to write commentaries passed down both tracks next time I'll be talking about late ancient christian philosophy.
