Is Euthanasia a Consequentialist?
In some ways she resembles a deontologist. It's just that she doesn't want to ground it in the same way. You are looking at consequences, but you're doing that because what intention you have depends on those consequences. This is like the blowing up the guy's machine example in MMP. In very specific circumstances, that's all you have to do is weighing the consequences. So some things just are right and wrong and you can't do them no matter what the consequences involved are. And that's where she differs with the consequentialist.
