What Is a Wormhole?

A wormhole is a theoretical bridge that connects two distant points in space time. The idea of a wormhole was first proposed by Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen in 1935. They used Einstein's general theory of relativity to explore the existence of bridges that connected two different points in spacetime creating a sort of shortcut.
