The new Mulan film I thought was much better because actually represented some Chinese values. Because of the real centrality of the idea of responsibility but also particularly this responsibility to one's parents. The husband wife relationship is based on ding which means respect and then siblings are supposed to have tea which is a special kind of love. In many other situations in life whenever you have a superior you should be loyal to them. One thing that I got quite into is sanguya yani which is the romance of the three kingdoms which is a Chinese novel from the it was written down in 16th century or 15th years.
