The CMA and the UK's Politics
The CMA is independent of the government. Brad Smith's got and I'm sure Brad Smith knows this is far smarter than I am but they can't get a bill that targets the CMA through parliament when there are far bigger problems in the UK right now. The only legal mechanism for the government to override the CMA is as pertains to national security so like if Microsoft was to go there and be like look if you don't if you don’t give us this deal we're gonna exit the UK then that gives Microsoft a headache because it makes them look lawless. It'd be very interesting to see what comes out of the meeting with Brad Smith and Jeremy Hunt and all
