How to Heal a Loss

The group has one instruction, listen generously. They spend six hours in small groups talking about their loss. What are all the things that helped? Listen to me for as long as I needed to talk. Talk to me in the same way after my loss as they did before my loss. Sat with me, touched me, brought me food. Gave me advice without knowing the full story. It made me feel that the loss was my fault. And of course people find their perspective. They're not alone with their situation. Sometimes these stories are very, very deeply powerfully moving and the loss is a large.
