I Think It's a Little More Complex Than That but I Think the Polling Data Is a Mess in This Front
There's an assumption that across the board gig workers would want to be classified as full employees but polling data is kind of a mess in this front. One McKinsey poll found that 62% of contract workers do want full-time employment whether it's with Uber or Lyft and or doing door dash or somewhere else I'm not sure. But one poll out of Massachusetts found that 27% of gig workers only 27% wanted employee status at the jobs they were at so I think it's it gets complex because you have people choosing these jobs.
