The Children of Israel Goes Into the Red Sea
According to jewish midrash, it is noshon who starts wading into the water. According to this story, as it's told by the ancient rabbis, he just keeps walking until the water gets up to his nostrils. The atonement of christ made manifest through those ordinances. Here is the covenant path that i am carving out for you, water and ire. And now as their party going through the red sea, it is a wall of water on either side, protecting them from drowning, from destruction.
