The Spinning Boy has lived in the consciousness of two generations, persistent in the town's oral history as well as becoming a go-to motif for Halloween-haunted houses. From these alleged facts, none of which can to this day be completely proven, emerged a long line of embellishments and modifications that have stretched to the present day. On June 21st of this year, I drove to Bonaparte to spend one day researching what I had not been able to find out otherwise.
