Can Expanded Leave Be a Sign Other Benefits Are on the Chopping Block?
As the pandemic became endemic, some companies started pulling back on those expanded benefits. Both wallgreens and c v s announced they'd cut back the extended, paid sick leave that was put in place for workers who tested positive for covid. The looming threat of a recession hasn't helped workers case to keep them. Census data show between june 20 ninth and july eleventh, three point nine million americans didn't work because they were sick with cove 19 or were caring for someone with it.
