The Role of Platelet Procoagulant in Inflammatory Hemorrhage

Platelet pro coagulant activation facilitates the binding of the pro thrombinas complex to the platelet membrane, thereby enhancing thrombin activity and fibrin formation. The authors further demonstrated that genetic loss of either cyclophylin d or t mm 16 f can aggravate pulmonary inflammatory hemorrhage. Taken together, these findings point a novel roll of Pro Coagulant Platelets in the prevention of inflammatory bleeding.
