Cat Runs and Runs, and Water Is on Me
Cat saw through the open window that the rain was actually a few spare drops coming from the new sprinkler next door. Cat, feeling the water drops, imagined the sky opening and an endless cascade of rain falling on his fur. A week went by, then another cat was feeling lost. He'd had so many failures he wasn't sure if he wanted to even try any more. But then cat's human person approached the door from the outside. She was carrying about five grocery bags.
