Why Don't Your Disciples Fast?

A Jewish wedding feast lasted seven days. Seven was the number that signified covenant. And a marriage is a covenant. The fact that Jesus is the bridegroom may be quite significant here and may be pointing to the same idea that we saw in the earlier scene where he not only gave sins, but new people's thoughts.
