The Voice of Abel's Blood Cries Out for Mercy
In the Book of Hebrews, anytime something is better, it's not necessarily contradictory to that which it's better than. So there's this sense of insufficiency, of inferiority, of not yetness or not enoughness that you find throughout the book. And here's the significant verse here, verse 24: The sprinkled blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. It cries out for God to be gracious even though at this point he is being martyred by his brother.
