This was a big, diverse and populous world. We can see the outlines of complex new political formations rising in bronze age europe. There were urban centres along the pacific coast of south america,. creative agriculturists were digging sophisticated drainage systems to farm the highland valleys of new guinea. The same goes for egypt, with nubia, for that matter. But this isn't to say that these famous civilizations didn't matter in their time, or that they didn't leave a real and important legacy to the future. That's absolutely not the case.
