A Coalition of 20 State Attorneys General Have Won't Provide Abortion Pills to Consumers

A coalition of 20 Republican State Attorneys General have warned national pharmacies, CVS, and Walgreens against providing abortion pills to consumers. The AGs warned the pharmacy chains that they could face civil litigation from both private parties and states. This letter is in response to a January Food and Drug Administration regulatory change that would allow retail pharmacies to dispense the medication. Currently, the drug makers who manufacture the generic mythopristone are suing North Carolina for their ban on the pills.
