How to Prevent Shin Splint Pain

The acronym for shin splints is P-E-A-C-E. Avoid activities and movements that really increase though that pain during the first few days. Elevation may be beneficial, but usually not unless you do see some swelling. The L stands for load to stimulate collagen formation to eat in healing. optimism is a powerful thing. And then really the E stands for exercise. If you can do that pain free, that's going to help repair those tissues.
