The Differences Between Rust 2015 and NLL
Rust 2015 is the original Rust, so to speak. There are a couple of differences including NLL being turned off by default. It also meant that there were a number of known bugs in the old borrow checker. A whole new like fresh rewrite required MIR to come on its own and tearing out chunks of the compiler itself.
