Is There a Really Substantial History of U.S. Drug Policy?
Bonney: I cannot think of a serious, really substantive, comprehensive history of U.S. drug policy from the 1970s to the present in terms of looking at the war on drugs. In part, it's because like a lot of historical questions, people are waiting to see how it turned out. Bonney: Now that we see that the story is ending in a way that was not predicted by its constructors in the 1950s through 70s and is falling apart.
