What's the Type of Civil War?

We have certainly seenn an increase in inviolente political violence in the united states over the past several years. I think one of the reasons why it hard for most americans to conceive of a second civil war here is because they're thinking about an 18 60 version of a civil war. And that's just not really the type of civil modern civil war, that you tend to see any more.
