Plato's Psychology and the Politics of the Republic
Psychology has at its core the relation between inside and outside. Can you say about what makes psychology both a study of the soul and of the city? Sure, there's a vision, i think plato has and is trying to work out ultimately. What would that look like? Is it possible for we human beings to live an integrated life of happiness ourselves in the context of political society which itself is harmoniously organized? Plato wants to come out with a yes answer to that. And the yes answer depends on everybody both that the psyche and the pollis are working with each other.
