Poverty has been one of human kind's greatest and most widespread challenges. Elder holland gave a great talk back in two thousand 14 titled, are we not all beggars? He cried, that ye beat my people to pieces and grind the faces of the poor. That's another way in which the prophet isaiah's words echo through time. They are a message to us to day that the same sins of the house of israel we may be guilty of heating. If we don't realize that this could be about a destruction that comes when you don't care for the poor, we will we miss that entirely.
What are the tools to understanding Isaiah? Dr. Jason Combs examines how Latter-day readers can better understand the words of Isaiah and find inspiration for today, as well as understanding the context, geography, and warnings issued to ancient Israel.
