What Is Narcolepsy?
Narcolepsy is a condition where individuals do not make or possess enough of a chemical called hypocreton or a rexin. These are chemicals found in the hypothalamus of our brain and they're extremely important in terms of stabilizing wake forms. So when you wake up at 8 a.m. and you go to bed at 11 o'clock, for most people they feel about the same at 10 a.m., so that's what happens with narcolepsy.
