What's Your Personal Practice?
When you're at the monastery, you make some commitments and those commitments are for life regardless whether you're a monk or not. So I tend to just sit and allow the mind to sort of be with itself. At the end of the headspace sessions, I'll always say at the end, okay, let go of any focus on the breath and just let the mind do whatever it wants to do. That's kind of what we're beginning to train in that part of the exercise,. Not necessarily needing an object to focus, but just allowing the mind to still maintain that awareness.
