The Great Physicist Stephen Winberg
Stephen winberg, who died last year, made the higgs bozon a cornerstone of physics. When i was in high school, i was absolutely thrilled that all the different materials could be reduced to just 92 or so kinds of atoms. It seemed to me an enormous simplicity. Instead of 92 elements, we have a few types of corks and gluons and electrons. And now we have to confront the question: why are they what they are?
