Rains is set in like a French revolution inspired mid to late 16th century and onward. I've always been really interested in how folklore, cults, magic, religious, indigenous beliefs, things like that, shape the core of resistance. So I wanted to make witchcraft and astrology prominent in rains too as a symbol of how women have historically resisted by developing occult beliefs,. local beliefs, you know, magic.
