What Is the Cycle of Star Life?
When a star is formed, it usually is mostly hydrogen and helium. But of course, they often come with some left over remnant of previous stars. If the star burns long enough so that they can fuse those heavier elements, then eventually they can participate in the star itself. And as you look at these clusters, you can also compare them to the other clusters near by,. That can tell you more, like the story of what happened. It remains amazing to me that we know anything about the night sky.
