Advaita Vedanta is not about a bunch of isolated practices, even Buddhism is not. Buddha also had one central insight which he wanted to share and then you can have lots of other practices. It's the problem of the modern secular approach is to dismiss the central insight in religion. This is the ultimate goal of all life attaining which you have fulfilled the purpose of life. You attain tat dhamma, parama, mama, what is that? Par-gatam - this is real nature; we just don't know it.
